Line-up for the massive free street party taking over Stoke-on-Trent revealed

The line-up for the free street party taking over Stoke-on-Trent this Sunday has been revealed.

Hosted by social impact developers Capital&Centric, Goods Yard Fest will feature roaming brass bands, live music, DJs, crazy golf, street art and eclectic mix of street food vendors.

Free for everyone to attend, the festival will see Glebe Street closed off from 12pm til 6pm on Sunday 9 April, with the team showcasing some incredible local talent and putting on a party fit for all the family.

Visitors can expect on the day:

  • Energetic vibes from roaming brass band Back Chat Brass

  • A live performance from local singer songwriter Charlotte Benson

  • A series of sets from local DJ collective Chilled Music Factory

  • Crazy golf in the Goods Yard Signal Box

  • Live street art from incredible designer Andrew Wolfenden

  • Street performers roaming through the crowds

Foodie-lovers will be able to tuck into wood-fired pizzas from Oregano Kitchen’s pizza truck; smash burgers and loaded fries from Stoke-on-Trent based Get Bun’d; and waffles, artisan ice cream and milkshakes from Just Ice’s converted horse box.

The free event is set to bring the festival vibe to the area surrounding the Goods Yard – the £60m neighbourhood currently under construction and backed by Levelling Up funding.

Tom Wilmot, Joint Managing Director at Capital&Centric, said:

“We wanted to put on something that everyone can enjoy and head down to. People are often at loose end over the long Easter weekend, so it’s great to be able to put on a free street party with loads of local talent and entertainment.

“Stoke-on-Trent is evolving and the Goods Yard neighbourhood is at the centre the push to create a really liveable, vibrant town centre where there’s fun experiences for locals to get involved in – whether you’re into music, art, or just spending time with your mates.”

Tickets aren’t required for the event, with entry on a first-come-first served basis.
